Forsyth Humane Society is excited to host Summer Camp for rising 1-8th graders in Winston-Salem, NC. Check out the details below for information about three July sessions. They will sell out so register today!
Get ready for a summer of getting to know the cats and dogs of Forsyth County. Dive into the world of animal care and how to help animals in need. Learn what it is like to run the Adoption and Resource Center. We will get crafty with enrichment, gain hands-on experience, meet plenty of cats and dogs, and have A LOT of fun along the way! Camp runs Monday-Friday 9am-3pm and is $300 per camper. Payment must be made at time of registration to secure your child’s spot in summer camp!

Camp 1: Rising 1st – 2nd Graders
Pet Care 101: During this camp, we will learn about animal care basics. We will discuss what every pet needs and how we can make sure we are caring for animals the right way. We will meet members of the staff, including kennel technicians, vet technicians and volunteers. We will also learn how to make enrichment activities for the animals. Camp runs July 8-12, 2024
Camp 2: Rising 3rd – 5th Graders THIS CAMP SESSION HAS BEEN FILLED!
It’s Raining Cats and Dogs: During this camp we will learn about homelessness in companion animals and how we can take steps to prevent it. We will discuss the role of animal shelters and humane societies in helping to prevent overpopulation. We will meet members of the staff including foster coordinators, vet technicians and volunteers. We will learn what to do if we see a homeless animal and we can ensure our pets do not become homeless. Camp runs July 15-19, 2024
Camp 3: Rising 6th – 8th Graders THIS CAMP SESSION HAS BEEN FILLED!
Animal Advocacy: During this camp we will learn what animal advocacy is and why it is important. We will discuss ways we, at any age, can become animal advocates. We will meet members of the staff including the CEO, marketing team, and a board member. We will learn how to run a donation campaign and how donations are used to ensure our animals are cared for appropriately. Camp runs July 22-26, 2024
