Ideally, an animal listed on our stray hold will be reclaimed by the pet’s owner. If not, we will then assess the pet medically and behaviorally for our adoption program. If the pet is a specific breed, or mostly one breed, we will try to place the animal in a breed specific rescue in order to open up the kennel space to save another life and space on our spay/neuter schedule. The pet you’re interested in may need a foster. Fostering is free and we provide all medical care and supplies. If you’d like to foster the pet, you may get “first dibs” to adopt as the foster.
