Dog Day Out is an exciting new program at Forsyth Humane Society. Is your idea of a great afternoon stroll at Salem Lake? Maybe Sunday morning cartoons and cereal are more your thing? Or maybe it’s a hike to the top of Hanging Rock State Park? Whatever it is, don’t do it alone! If you find the activity, we will supply you with the dog!
Forsyth Humane Society’s Dog Day Out program allows you to take a shelter dog out wherever you’d like to enjoy some time with a canine companion. This program operates daily, Monday-Saturday, 9 AM – 5:30 PM. (Want to call it a sleepover and keep the dog overnight, no problem!)
For those eager to participate in our Dog Day Out program, we kindly request you to first complete the foster application found on our “New To Fostering?” page. After submission, you can choose a suitable date and time from the calendar below to collect your new four-legged friend for their day out. The appointment calendar will further inquire about your preferred activities and the specific type of dog you’re hoping to spend the day with. We appreciate your interest and look forward to pairing you with a wonderful canine companion!
While you are out and about, don’t forget to download the WoofTrax App, choose Forsyth Humane Society as your non-profit, turn on the app when you go out for walks or hikes, and you’ll give back to our shelter! #winwin
