Volunteer

The Forsyth Humane Society is always in need of volunteers. We have an endless list of tasks for those who want to help, so consider this your personal invitation to join our team. We guarantee you'll feel better knowing that your time and talents are making a difference to some lost, unwanted, frightened, or forgotten cat, kitten, dog or puppy that resides within our community. We also think you'll make new friends meeting others who care about animals.

Volunteer Qualifications

• All volunteers are required to fill out an application, and then our Volunteer Coordinator will contact you.



• Volunteer applicants must be at least 12 years of age. Volunteers under 14 are required to have an adult volunteer with them.



• All Adoption Center volunteers are required to attend at least one training session prior to becoming a volunteer.



• Volunteers must be dependable, articulate, people-oriented, and be willing to promote the positions of the FHS. Because so much of our work is provided by volunteers, it is important that our volunteers show up for their scheduled shifts.
• All volunteers should have a love and respect for animals.
